We had the honor of winning the title of Best Supplier – Special Lift Applications in the 2020 Elevator World Ellies Awards. This year, we are committed to winning again after we have been nominated for Best Supplier: Special Application / Accessibility.
Voted on by experienced elevator industry professionals, clients, and the public, The Ellies awards recognize North American elevator and escalator businesses that go above and beyond for their customers, employees, communities, and industry. Voting takes place online from August 9-27, 2021.
The Ellies award for Best Supplier: Special Application / Accessibility goes to an elevator provider who addresses uncommon project needs with flexibility, grace, and professionalism, showing the creativity to design out-of-the-box solutions for unconventional jobs.

Hill Hiker has received two Ellies Award nominations, and one win. We also won the Elevator World Project of the Year Award in the Inclined Elevator Category for our creative work and problem-solving at Parque Turistico Observatorio 1873 in Mazatlán, Mexico. We attribute this to our excellence in quality, safety, and reliability. We are thankful to all our customers, partners, dealers, and each member of our team who has helped elevate our recognition over the years.
A perfect example of our commitment to improving the industry is reflected in our latest project featured in Elevator World. Hill Hiker received special permission from the State of Minnesota Department of Elevator Safety and the AHJ to provide an elevator car with more square feet of usable space to allow people in wheelchairs to use the car more comfortably. Hill Hiker hopes to continue to work with the ASME Elevator and Escalator Standards Committee to further improve regulations to help increase safety and usability for our customers..
