Elevator Systems Done Right

By May 27, 2015December 16th, 2021Blog

At Hill Hiker, we firmly believe that when we complete a job, the customer will have peace of mind that the elevator was done right!

This belief isn’t just a phrase we made up because we think it sounds good, it’s based on our years of experience in the field and all the certifications, licenses, and compliance practices we have in place to ensure the phrase becomes a reality.

On the national level, we at Hill Hiker are proud to be a member of the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC), the premier association representing the elevator industry.

One of the biggest benefits of our systems is that they are great for handicap accessibility. Our systems meet or exceed all ADA requirements based on the application, making us recognized by the ADA as being ADA Compliant.

When building our elevator systems, we make sure they always meet or exceed all local, city, and state elevator codes. To help illustrate our point, here is a list of Hill Hiker accomplishments that we are very proud of:

  • 1st licensed incline elevator contractor in Minnesota.
  • Only licensed incline elevator contractor in Arkansas and Connecticut.
  • 1st approved commercial incline elevator in Arkansas, Maryland, New Hampshire,
  • 1st approved residential incline elevator in Connecticut.
  • One of only several (less than four total) approved in Wisconsin, Oregon, Michigan (hardest regulated state in the U.S.), San Francisco, and the City of Los Angeles (hardest regulated city in the U.S.).

Having all the correct permits is a very important part of the job to us, so we work with customers and contractors when  needed to submit and gain approval of the necessarypermits for the job. That commitment to quality helped us obtain an A+ rating with the Better Business BureauBBB A+ Rating

Meeting all compliance requirements and testing standards starts with the internal practices we have in place. It’s crucial that all Hill Hiker elevator mechanics and service technicians are licensed and certified. Our strict internal practices have led to 18 years in the business with a perfect safety record and lifts legally installed in some of the strictest states and cities! We’re proud of our commitment to building quality systems for amazing customers and we know that if you choose Hill Hiker, you will have peace of mind that your elevator was done right!
