What Are Outdoor Elevators?
It’s just a different way to refer to what we commonly call a funicular, inclined lift or hillside tram. Hill Hiker® systems fall under the National Elevator Safety Code where they are called inclined elevators but many people also use terms like exterior elevator, outside lift or outdoor residential elevator.
Whatever you call them, Hill Hiker, Inc. specializes solely in the manufacture and installation of these outside, inclined, cable-driven elevator / lift systems. Each Hill Hiker ® lift system is custom designed for your individual needs and can be installed almost anywhere worldwide.

Elevator World, the premier elevator industry publication, recently announced the winners of its’ annual Ellies industry recognition awards. Hill Hiker, Inc. was proud to win, for the second year in a row, and retain the title of “Best Supplier: Special Application Lifts” for it’s custom outdoor elevator systems.
To start the year 2023, Elevator World announced the winner’s of its most prestigious 25th annual Project of the Year competition. Hill Hiker, Inc. took home the top prize in the “Inclined Elevators” (commonly know as outdoor elevator lifts) category for the 3rd time in 5 years.
